Shipping Policy – Tallow Gardens
1. Shipping Regions
Tallow Gardens currently ships to:

All provinces and territories across Canada (standard parcel shipping)

Local hand-delivery within:

Customers can select either local delivery (where available) or standard shipping at checkout.
2. Carriers & Methods
2.1 Standard Shipping (Across Canada)

All Canadian orders outside the local delivery zones are shipped using Shipping Stallion–powered carriers.

Shipping method and exact carrier are automatically selected based on destination, size, and weight.

All shipped orders include tracking information, which will be provided once the order is fulfilled.
2.2 Local Delivery (Greater Montreal Area)
Local delivery is available for eligible addresses in Montreal, Laval, North Shore, and South Shore.

Wednesdays: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Sundays: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm

At checkout, customers must select:

“Local Delivery” as the delivery method (if available for their address), and

A delivery day and time slot from the options provided.

If a customer is not present during the selected time slot, the order may be left in a safe location at the delivery address, or a re-delivery fee may apply at Tallow Gardens’ discretion.
3. Shipping Rates & Free Local Delivery
3.1 Standard Shipping Rates (Canada-Wide)

Shipping rates are size- and weight-based.

The exact shipping cost for an order is calculated at checkout based on:

There is currently no flat-rate or free standard shipping; all non-local orders are charged based on Shipping Stallion’s calculated rates.
3.2 Free Local Delivery

Free local delivery is available for qualifying orders with:

Order subtotal of $75 CAD or more (before taxes and discounts)

An eligible address within Montreal, Laval, North Shore, or South Shore

Orders below $75 CAD will be charged a local delivery fee, calculated at checkout.
4. Order Processing & Delivery Timeframes
4.1 Processing Time

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days.

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.
4.2 Estimated Delivery Times

Standard shipping (Canada-wide):

Estimated delivery within 3–5 business days after the order has been processed and shipped.

Rural or remote areas may experience longer delivery times.

Local delivery:

Delivered on the next available Wednesday or Sunday time slot selected at checkout.

If a customer selects a future date and time slot, delivery will occur during that chosen window.

These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by carriers, weather, or other factors outside of Tallow Gardens’ control do not constitute grounds for automatic refunds.
5. Packaging, Product Condition & Risk of Loss

Orders shipped via Shipping Stallion are packed using standard protective packaging appropriate for tallow products.

Tallow has no seasonal/shipping restrictions and is not temperature-sensitive under normal shipping conditions.

Once an order has been handed to the carrier or delivered to the address specified at checkout:

Risk of loss and title for the products pass to the customer.
-
However, if anything goes wrong with the shipment (e.g., lost or significantly damaged in transit), Tallow Gardens will cover the cost and work with the customer to find an appropriate solution (replacement, credit, or refund at Tallow Gardens’ discretion).

6. Damaged, Defective, or Lost Orders
If an order arrives damaged, defective, or does not arrive within a reasonable timeframe:

The customer must contact Tallow Gardens within 14 days of the marked delivery date (or the expected delivery date for lost packages).

The customer may be asked to provide:

Order number

Photos of the product and packaging (for damage claims)

Description of the issue

Tallow Gardens will review each case individually and, where appropriate, may:

Replace the product

Issue a store credit

Issue a refund
Resolution type is determined at Tallow Gardens’ sole discretion.
7. Refunds & Returns Related to Shipping

All refund requests related to shipping issues (damage, defect, loss, or significant delay) must be made within 14 days of the recorded delivery date or expected delivery date (in the case of non-delivery).

Due to the nature of skincare/tallow products and for hygiene reasons, returns may not always be accepted once the product has been opened. Cases are evaluated individually.
8. Address Accuracy & Delivery Issues

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the shipping/delivery address is complete and accurate at checkout.

Tallow Gardens is not responsible for orders that are lost, delayed, or misdelivered due to:

Incorrect or incomplete address entered by the customer

Failure to collect parcels from pickup locations

Failure to be present for local delivery when required

Additional re-shipping or re-delivery fees may apply if an order is returned or requires a second delivery attempt due to an address or access issue.
